Infinity LPMud: Rules for Players
There are certain rules that all players must follow on Infinity. If these rules are not followed, the Administration reserves the right to refuse you the privilege of connecting to and interacting with Infinity. These rules include:As you can see, these rules are all common sense; you shouldn't need to exert yourself to follow them. Most players on Infinity can do so without any problem, and never need to run into the ArchWizards. Keep in mind that if you are removed from Infinity, you may not return as another character.
- No quest cheating: Players must complete all level quests, Wizard quests, and guild quests without the help of other players. This prohibits players from asking players for other help, offering help to other players, and logging in as them to do their quests. If we have probable cause to believe that you are cheating or cheated on a quest, we will remove you from the game.
- No polling: "Polling" is defined as trying to connect to Infinity more than 2 times every ten seconds, and can slow the game down considerably. Worse than that, you can cause problems for us with the owner of the workstation we run on, and jeopardize Infinity's existence. We realize you want to log on and play the game, but we'd prefer that you not try quite so often to do so.
- No multiple characters: You only need one to play on this game. If we find out that you have any others, we will remove all of your characters.
- Do not take advantage of game bugs: While it's quite tempting to use a bug on the game for your personal advantage, we don't appreciate it at all. Tell us about the bug so we can fix it, instead.
- Do not harass other users: Infinity is designed to be a place where people may log in to enjoy themselves without the hassles of real life intruding. We do not look kindly upon individuals continuing to interact with a person after specifically being asked to stop. This can include unwanted sexual advances, racial slurs, or any other disparaging remarks that are better left in the halls of an elementary school than to be brought on this game. We take this rule most seriously of all.
